The truth of the story lies in the details

When you think of wedding photography what springs to mind is the beautiful images of the happy couple, Photos of the ceremony, confetti throwing, guests drinking, eating and dancing. Laughter and joy and those memories you’ll remember forever.

As you plan your day, you and your partner sit evening after evening planning tables, favours, entertainment, food, cake, the perfect music and what colours will tie it all together? But in twenty years, when memories have faded, your photography will remind you of that day.

So photographing those small details of your wedding is vitally important to tell your wedding day story. When it comes to bridal and groom preparation, when we ask for those details that accompany your outfits, your flowers, those specially bought new shoes. All those beautiful items, make up your wedding day story.

This is one of my favourite parts of the wedding day because it allows me to prepare and get my creative side warmed up for the rest of the day! I photograph a bride’s details in a way that matches and showcases the style of the entire wedding day.  So, in some ways, the details set the stage for the look of the whole wedding.

I will take about half an hour with those items photographs then take some time around the news taking photos table placements flowers details that you a while to choose the perfect items. Weddings on particular and chill in years to come but you've taken so long to consider that those elements that it would be a shame to forget them.

I remember reading a post during my wedding preparation of what elements of the day guest remember and it wasn't the cake it was the table decorations it was the food the drink the music and the company.
